
Zumba is a dance/exercise regimen done to a mix of Latin and international music, which was brought to the U.S. about ten years ago by Alberto "Beto" Perez from Columbia. It has been going by the popular slogan "Ditch the workout, join the party." The hour long classes have been known to burn up to 500 calories. It may be challenging at first for some, but Zumba allows participants to move at their own pace.
